19 Mar Meals on Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County hosts free lunch and learn as part of March for Meals campaign
As a student, I completed a rotation at a local Meals on Wheels facility. It was the sheer number of meals we created each day that was mind blowing. How did we have so many seniors who needed food delivered to their door each day? I knew that food security-nutritious food security-would always be an important part of my life. And it is.
As a part of their March for Meals awareness campaign, Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County is hosting a Lunch and Learn specifically for food and nutrition professionals. Learn how they adhere to nutritional guidelines while providing tasty, flavorful and colorful meals to their clients. Their nutrition staff will be on hand to discuss how they make their meals work for nearly any diet prescription and answer any questions about the special services they provide for over 4,000 Tarrant County residents.
